Lower Back Pain

About Low Back Pain

Having been working professional sport for over two decades, I have developed a simple system for treatment.

Using bio mechanical assessment. Postural analysis, movement analysis abd Orthopaedic testing. But most of all the way these tests are combined enables me assessing the body holistically so that I can find the driver for your symptoms – root cause of the problem. Once the driver has been found and treated patients will feel significantly better and in less pain. Sometimes that is all they need. The system is extremely effective and give results quickly – which is why it’s been successful in football when players need to be back on the pitch quickly

But in my clinic it doesn’t stop at treatment. Where necessary I am able to move the patient into Functional rehab rehabilitation to reduce the likelihood of injury recurrence

In elite sport I have been lucky enough to work with some excellent physiotherapists and strength and conditioning coaches that’s enabled me to combined structural osteopathy with Functional rehabilitation. It’s getting your body moving in a pain-free efficient manner so the pain does not recur. Simple specific bespoke exercises just a few minutes a day can transform a patient’s Recovery and they can get back to living their life whether that be playing with their grandchildren or back to competing in elite sport.

Low back pain can be debilitating but I like to empower my patients so that they can understand what caused their pain dysfunction and how after the treatment we can move into movement rehab rehabilitation and prevent recurrence

Finding a balanced approach between mobility and exercise and movement. Educating you on how to improve your patterns of movement to avoid recurrence of the injury.

Acupuncture can treat a wide range of conditions, including chronic pain (such as back, neck, and joint pain), headaches and migraines, stress and anxiety, digestive issues, insomnia, allergies, and more. It is also used to support overall wellness and balance.

es, acupuncture is generally safe when performed by a trained and licensed practitioner. The needles used are sterile, single-use, and very fine, minimizing the risk of infection or injury. It’s important to discuss any health concerns with your acupuncturist before beginning treatment.

During an acupuncture session, the practitioner will conduct a thorough health assessment and discuss your symptoms and goals. You will then lie comfortably while thin needles are inserted into specific points on your body. The needles are usually left in place for 20 to 30 minutes while you relax. The experience is typically calming and many people find it to be quite relaxing.
